No Rest For The Wicked

Idiots and Elves
Where Loyalties Lie

Falkrunn

I admit I am not a People Person.

There are few people I like, but how important is that, really? Just because they are Idiots or Elves, it doesn’t mean we can’t work together as long as they pull their share of the load. Like that Cleric Guy, Cashmere Sweater; we get along fine. (And he has a Good Head for Ale.) It might have been noted that I have a certain Animosity towards Elves… Well, that’s nothing personal. At least it wasn’t until NOW. But I digress…

Adventure Notes

Casual
Not entirely sure how helpful these will be to everyone. What I write is usually bits of what I hear and know that once I hear a reference to it, whatever it may be, I’ll remember. These are also in no particular order and names of NPCs are 99% wrong, but just written in a way that I’d remember.

Does It Ever End?
Zombies are preferable to Skeletons

Falkrunn

I encountered a Ghost today. Several, actually. When we came up from the Lower Depths, I saw Human Guards hurrying a woman and two children through the Central Hall, then a Man killing the Guards. I followed them and High and Mighty Elf came too, but they weren’t threatening Ghosts, or ones you could Fight. They just disappeared. There was an Other World feeling to it, as if they were Shadows of People repeating some Tragedy Over and Over. Somewhat Boring actually. I thought my First Encounter with the Supernatural would be more exciting. Yawn.

Valyn - Log 8

Valyn

I haven’t felt this level of remorse since the passing of our tiefling and it does not feel good. An uneasiness in the pit of my stomach, worming around, searching for an escape. A single word keeps pounding in my head, like an overzealous Bard struggling to find the right tune only to realize no matter how he says it, it still sounds awful and won’t work. Blood. How could I have been so foolish? Maybe I was over confident from the recent battles or my legendary kick to open the door to Sir Zegot’s resting place…

Tyranny
Muffled sobbing could be heard through the gags that bound a couple of small human children in Ent’s Circle.

Their captor’s were gruff, rugged, and dangerous looking orcs…. orcs? How did orcs get anywhere near the circle…. the trees would have told us of any raiding party. Orcs always come in packs and make almost as much noise breathing as the Dwarves of Hammerdin.

Lonely

Nixie
Man I miss Coop. He always brightened my days and kept me company when I was feeling lonely. Cooper was a friend I had known since I was a little girl, our dads were best friends. It is weird because his dad is a dwarf and my dad used to hang out with elves more often than dwarves. My mom left when I was born, so my dad might have had some resentment toward elves ever since then (hence resorting to the complete opposite, dwarves).

Okay so here I am enjoying myself relaxing and then everyone is all like come on lets go! Normally being peppy I decided to pull myself out of my sleepy daze and begrudgingly move on. We decided to head back up the dark staircase we came down from just a day ago. Apparently my group remembered a way we hadn’t gone before, here I thought we were done and moving on back to Winterhaven. Meh, at least I’ll get a couple more times to be sneaky ;).

Sigh!
Valyn - Log 7

Valyn

Why do I bother? The loud mouth dwarf mocks and shouts at everything that has an ear, probably hoping to torture them. This is probably why they sent her out to do a man’s job, just couldn’t stand her. I’m not even sure why we are tolerating her. Constantly falling down in the most obvious of traps, fighting everyone and everything, and always trying to prove herself to no one in particular. I don’t get it.

The fighting continued along into the very depths of the place they were in.

Along the way she had killed, been pushed (unfortunately into a pit where Falkrunn was, and Arneth was eternally sorry for not being more aware of her surroundings), defended her comrades, and in the final throws of a blue goo, was knocked unconscious while in stagnate water.
She was rescued from the putrid water and awoke in the arms of a male companion.
